Dr. Susmita Banerjee has been playing sitar for the past 25 years. She continues to be a student of Sukhraj Singh Jhala and learnt from Nikhil Banerjee in the early years. She plays in the style of Maihar gharana. She has been passionately pursuing music as her hobby while following her career as a professor of English literature at the University of Indore. She has given various performances in the last 2 decades in several states in India.


Vocal Concert with Sameer Dublay

A disciple of Jitendra Abhisheki, notable exponent and scholar of classical music as well as Marathi music and natyageet, Sameer Dublay began voice culture and music theory with Rambhau Mate in Pune in 1980, at the age of 12, before taking advanced training in performance theory and technique with his guru in 1989. Sameer went on to perform across India and abroad, touring the United States with tabla phenomenon Suresh Talwalkar in 2004. Sameer has continued his guru's affinity and ability in dramatic music as the music director for eight full-length and eighteen one-act plays in Marathi and Hindi, including for the National School of Drama (India). At present he continues learning from Dr. Ashok Da. Ranade, an eminent musicologist and guru of the Gwalior gharana.


Santoor Concert with Kunal Gunjal

Kunal Gunjal, born in 1984, is a young and promising santoor artist. Having a musical background from his father Ulhas Gunjal, a disciple of internationally renowned santoor exponent Shivkumar Sharma, Kunal started learning tabla from Shantilal Shah, a disciple of tabla phenomenon Suresh Talwalkar. He began santoor with Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar, and is now under the guidance of Shivkumar Sharma himself. Kunal has performed across India - in Aurangabad, Solapur, Ahmedabad, Banglore, etc., as well as in New York in 2005.
